Back from visitng family up North. My Mom is in the hospital after yet another surgery.  While I was up there, my uncle passed away. Very sad week-end all in all. So will be heading back up for the funeral sometime this week.

Hot and sticky today. Mid-90′s and the humidity feels high. Hope to work in the shop today after catching up on yard work. On vacation through this week but won’t be travelling anywhere fun. So at least hope to finish up some flutes.

Also need to get a few orders in the mail today and hope to catch up on everything. Sold an interesting item on ebay yesterday – bark from an old cottonwood tree.

Carvers use cottonwood bark for all kinds of interesting carvings, so wasn’t surprised it sold. Have more to list – we have an old tree that was hit by lightning a few years ago and has since died. Bark is shedding off the tree. I will post a picture of the tree later today.
